well i have to say it is a funny story about how u reach here. on the language issue, i think if the admins thinks it worthwhile, they will.u may not know that but for me i've been tired with continuous quarrels about it, u know even the topic on  traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese has been a huge one recently.....yamiboqe016 yamiboqe016 so if it sounds a little bit unfriendly, forgive my temper....@_@

i understand "NeXus " u felt invaded i get you , but im serious about the english version ...i know it's a huge deal but u'll see that the number of members will rise up to 1 million or more ^^ , and about the chinese style , i think either is ok as long as u guys understand ....>.> ..i don't understand any :P lol , so i wish for the english version that's why i posted in here and it took me a while to know how to post and read the forum codes to know how to register and which button to click on , funny but worth while ^^

well i'm not mad about u, nor ur ideas. if u r serious, of course, u r welcomed. i'm just a visitor here speaking my opinion, so it's not me to decide. i just feel bored with trifles on language in this forum recently(of course it has nothing to do with u), and i believe the admins will settle the problem.

alright, back from school
it's funny that how this "suggestion" went on that far, and there's many people who got offended(kind of....cause the tones of you guys' aren't that friendly) just because of Night's idea of having an english version of yamibo. I mean, as i said before, why don't we take a try? There's many people in here who speaks good english(some are professional speakers)
Personally i think that yamibo is better than shoujoai...but since the web site was actually based on chinese...i'll have to keep my word shut
PS:night, even if they did do the english version,it's not going to be enough people who writes in english than in chinese,things still won't trun out to be the way that we wanted it to be

if they can't even understand the content, how could they read the posts?

Im only speak Spanish, Enlgish and French. I joined cause theres many updates on yuri and anime and other good things. For me it was ok the site was in Chinese cause I can navigate thru sites of a foreighn language to me.
A while ago I start using a site translator wich is not too bad, I can usually figure most of the conversations and meanings are of even though sometime the translation is a bit poor.
I think its ok in just Chinese, I  may take  chinese class sometime next year so then maybe I can reply to posts yamiboqe030

There're people who know both chinese and english, who happened to visit this fourm alot, so it is possible if they wrote their blogs in english, and then people who read it would know this fourm.
Even if they don't know a single word of chinese, you probably don't realize how much pictures each of the post contained. A Picture worth a thousand words.
And you obviously don't understand the power of yuri...love doesnt need words to explain.

I'm at the neutral position in this disscussion, since I can read both languages, so it wouldn't really matter to me.
However, like 面包said, it seemed quite amount of people opposed the idea of having a english yamibo fourm for no reason. ppl are being denial here XD
On the other hand, to make an english yamibo fourm is not that easy, where to find a site that'll be able to host fourm, who will be maintaning the fourm, would there be people visting, etc, etc. There're lots of things needed to be consider, it would be alot harder than just to talk about it.
Of course, this decision is to be decided by Administrator, we can't really do anything about it at this moment 0.o

Hi ^__^ I'm actually glad to see people! I live in US now and is somewhat lonely, people around me either don
t like/don't know yuri x_x.
Chinese is really hard! even japanese is easier..0.o you can think of learning japanese first b/c all the info in this fourm are from japanese..
but you can still take the chiense class! =D

It seemed lost. What actually night and others supporting the idea of an English version thought about an English version? Translating every page to English? Or just an English interface? Or somewhere inbetween, opening an English subforum?

There is no reason to turn down English-speaking ppl away from yamibo. Just try to imagine how we (those that don't know Japanese) feel when they encounter a Japanese site that says, "Sorry, this site is in Japanese only."
That's why I support the idea of creating an English sub-forum, where all major yuri news and forum events be posted/translated into English. I think 300 should be more accessible to other non-Chinese users (given there are enough users here who are willing to translate from Chinese to English, which I am being one of them). The admins can test out the idea first for a trail period.

百合會可以開個sub-forum(試用版)給不懂中文的用者. 只要有足夠懂中英文的用户肯把討論區裡的中文譯成英文~~

Well, I don't think anyone is really turning down international friends. What most ppl don't agree are really the opinion to turn yamibo into an English-only forum. It different from the problem of simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, b/c computers  can easily "translate" between the two.
So creating a sub-forum is ok. And maybe an English board?
ps: If I came over to a Japanese forum I feel like I wouldn't suggest like that. Instead I'd ask someone translate the contents I like most. But if I don't know even a bit of that language.... oh It's really fantastic XD

First of all, shouldn't this thread goes to the administration section?
Any kind of suggestions belongs there, and I believe that would get the admins' attention too.

I don't go against the idea of having an English sub-forum, but how workable will it be, I cannot say. On the other hand, having an English sub-forum will for sure bring a lot more visitors to this site. I would think having a trial period would not hurt, but to make an English sub-forum workable and keeping up with the main Chinese forum, people that are both Chinese and English literate would need to help out a lot, and not just for awhile.

That's all I gotta say, good lucky in getting an English sub-forum!

so u can't distinguish chinese & japenese, i just wonder how u registered for this site.

As many people said above, the admins should do a try out about that sub-english site, but the problem that i was thinking is that who will actually translate all those chinese to english for the english readers who doesn't have a translating program? Not mentioning those comics, stories and threads for downloading animes. Sub is cool, maybe things will go better than we expected, but the problem is who is going to do the real job? Or should the admins just put it on try-out and see what will happen afterwords?

I'm one of those who are comfortable with both Chinese & English, but opening an English sub-forum? Honestly...I'm not really sure about it. I mean....the idea of trying to get more visitors is good. But on the other hand, who will operate the forum and do the translation jobs?

p/s:I'm very curious bout how did LZ manage to register an ID if she doesn't understand Chinese though (LOL)

Honestly, I am really curious that this forum seems  so attractive to some English users? this is a Chinese forum and all the communication here is in Chinese, of course some of us are actually good at foreign languages.
However, discussion with English users is really a funny thing.
So I get a idea. Why not we just send several persons to make a start and attrack English Yuri fans to manage their own website?
Forgive me for my poor English, because I don't touch English more or less for 1 year.

as i am able to read both chinese&english,and to a degree…… some japenese,whatever the conclusion is,it will be of no matter to me.
but……well，i agree that to open an English sub-forum is a good ideal,too.
as it need relatively less time and energy.
then we could evaluate if it's really necessary to have a english version.
even we conclude that it is at no worth at last,this sub-forum will be a nice place for those yuri-fans who speak no chinese or those who are interested in englinsh.

when it comes to obak's question,i think there will be no problem as we've already had a japenese-study sub-forum(日本語の勉強)and it works well.there needs no doubt that the number of chinese who know english is much more than those who understand japenese.
